You’ve probably heard of Juicing, but have you heard of the latest diet craze Souping? Souping seems to be everywhere and is even endorsed by some celebrities as their diet secret. It is basically a cleanse that involves eating only soups for anywhere from 24 hours up to 5 days.
The types of soups included in a soup cleanse are made from all-natural ingredients focusing on foods that are anti-inflammatory, antioxidants and high in fiber (to keep you feeling full). This is a little different than juicing because soups are not high in sugar like many fruits used in juices.
The cleanse usually consists of 5 soups per day. These soups and bone broths are easier for your body to digest which helps to detoxify and cleanse your body. Souping is also way more economical than juicing which is a huge plus. You aren't throwing away tons of pulp (which is most of the fruits & veggies!). As with any diet, you will want to consult your doctor before making changes, but we think souping could be a good way to mix things up and introduce new foods to your diet!
